ProcreaTecis an international fertility center, run by professionals with over 20 years of experience in Assisted Reproduction techniques. This vast knowledge allows them to see the big picture with the clinical and laboratory findings of each patient and treat each couple individually. Their intention is to be good at what they do and be able to provide good service to their patients.
ProcreaTec is a young clinic, small but with the aim of promoting a level of quality that surpasses their size. The intention is not to be big, but to be good at what they do and be able to provide good service to patients.
At ProcreaTec they offer a large variety of treatments, from basic assistance to the most sophisticated techniques in reproductive medicine. The team is comprised of doctors specialized in fertility, biologists with many years of experience in embryology, a urologist who is an expert in the male aspect of fertility, a psychologist and a team of nurses and of customer care who are always interested in the well-being of all patients.
Contact them to set up a consultation or to just get more information. They look forward to accompanying you on what is perhaps the most important journey of your life.
There are many factors that lead to infertility, but age is essential. If there is no known underlying disease, gynecologists recommend that patients be studied after a year of unprotected sex if the woman is under 35.
If the woman is over 35, 6 months of unprotected sex without pregnancy is the recommended moment to begin evaluation. If the woman is 40 or older, the assessment should be initiated after 3 months.
Generally speaking, this is how things are done but sometimes specialized attention is needed earlier. For example when a woman has a previous history of pelvic infection, a hereditary disease, 2 miscarriages or in the case of men, undescended testicles or a hereditary disease, a specialist may be consulted when the couple decides to have children.
The first step that needs to be taken when up against a fertility problem is a correct diagnosis. In many cases there is more than one factor impeding conception, so it is essential to perform a correct and complete evaluation.
The medical team will review the patient’s history and necessary testing will be prescribed to achieve an accurate diagnosis. If a male factor is diagnosed, consultation with their urologist may be recommended.
Most people that come to the ProcreaTec clinic have already spent some time trying to achieve pregnancy and are anxious to begin treatment. Their goal is to start as soon as a complete diagnosis has been reached, which is usually after one menstrual cycle.
There are two ways of co-ordinating your egg donation cycle. If your own consultant in your country is happy to support you through the process and prescribe the medication, then all preparation can be done there and you attend the clinic here for a one visit of 7 to 9 days at the point of donor egg collection and your embryo transfer.
Otherwise ProcreaTec would advise you to have an initial consultation with them where they can update any tests needed, prescribe medication for the treatment and discuss your treatment plan in detail. You also have the option of freezing a sperm sample at this appointment, thus shortening your next stay in Madrid – you would then only need to attend the clinic in time for the embryo transfer.
All donors are anonymous according to Spanish law. ProcreaTec aim to ensure that they provide a donor who matches your physical and blood group profile. All donors undergo tests to ensure that they are healthy and have no genetic anomalies. They also have a meeting with the clinic’s psychologist and no one is allowed to donate unless she passes all these tests. All donors are under 30 years of age. These young, healthy donors are one of the reasons why ProcreaTec’s success rate is one of the best in the world – around 60%.
|Does the clinic have liability insurance?||Yes|
More than six out of every ten patients who visited Procreatec between January and April 2013 have become pregnant. ProcreaTec success rate thus far this year for all assisted reproduction techniques offered at the clinic (IVF, egg donation) is 62%, one of the highest rates in the sector.
The Spanish rate of pregnancy for IVF is 38.7% according to the Spanish Fertility Society (SEF); this is slightly higher than the European average - 30%. At ProcreaTec the success rate during the first few months of 2011 reached 60% - a number much higher than the average.
At ProcreaTec they pride themselves on offering patients an excellent price-quality ratio – their pregnancy rates are comparable to the best international clinics and prices are very competitive in the Spanish market.
The Good Practice Score helps patients to make a more informed choice when considering cross-border reproductive care. Based on the recommendations of the European Society of Human Reproduction and Embryology, the Good Practice Score embraces twenty factors which assess the suitability of a clinic for the delivery of services to international patients.

- All procedures in the lab are duly recorded. - They keep duplicate, and sometimes triplicate, records of all cycles as well as the location of all embryos and gametes in their respective banks. Everything is recorded on paper and in an electronic database, using software that is designed for fertility clinics. - Two people are always responsible for each procedure - one monitors while the other performs the procedure, therefore ensuring that all names and codes are recorded in duplicate.

Amazing and Wonderful
WOW! I have nothing but love for this clinic and all their staff. Our experience has been fantastic. We were lucky enough to have our very first round of IVF result in a pregnancy, but even if it hadn't, we would go back without any hesitation. In fact, I give it two years and we will go back to try for #2.
